Funeral Notes: Services will be private for family.
Interment: Burial Private

Amelia De Jesus Mendoza, beloved wife of the late Ceferino Sr.; devoted mother of Angelina (Rex) Bonion, Soledad Mendoza, Ceferino Jr. (Carmelita) Mendoza, Arnold (Melody) Mendoza, Vincent (Jeanette) Mendoza and Mario (Rosenni) Mendoza; cherished grandmother of Pamela, Sherrine, Regine, Martin, Christian, Patrick, Derrick, Matthew, David, Marc and Michael; dear sister of Teresita, Rodolfo, the late Corazon, the late Cesar, Crispin, Mario, Estrelita, Alfredo and Reynaldo.

Amelia De Jesus Mendoza, daughter of the late Apolonio and Maxima De Jesus was born on June 1, 1932 in Antipolo, Rizal. She finished BS-Education and became an elementary school teacher at Juan Sumulong Elementary School.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Ceferino Gonzales Mendoza Sr. in April 28, 1963.  They were blessed with 6 children.  When her husband died in January 19, 1984, she was left to raise and provide for her children by herself.  She was given an opportunity by her sister to start a new life in the US in 1988. She got separated from her children, during the first few years and eventually was reunited in 1995 with all of them and grandchildren.

Lola Nanay, as she is a fondly called by her grandkids, is a loving, persevering, strong, great cook, had great personality, jolly, and provided caring figure to her family.

The shelter-in-place ordinance keeps us from normal grieving process, and we do understand if you are unable to join us for her funeral viewing on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.  At some point in the future, we are hoping to have a memorial service. We appreciate the sympathy and prayers you have for Lola Nanay.
