Uncle August J. Edelmann, where can I find words to express my deep love and honor of you, and, your beloved and precious spouse. Indeed a thousand years is but a day unto the Lord! How quickly those ninety five years, have galloped by faster then a race horse at the Arlington race tract. Suddenly here we were in celebration of your graduation from this our class activity here on planet Earth. There was not any sadness to be found, as you had a very full life. Of course it is an adventure of the, good, the bad, and the ugly. Your pipe organ from the day you dis-assembled it at the theater, to the day, "It was finely your turn" for the recital to take place at your home. Is an extraordinary example of profound persistence and sheer determination. But then also the wonderful family of children made possible by you and Aunt Alice. My cousins, whom have given you much pride in their talents, gifts and accomplishments. It's good to know that we are all important to each other, as we continue to come together in our visits. But hopefully more frequently, like at lease once a year! Respectfully, lovingly, affectionately, joyfully, nephew, floyd easterman (:=

August was a real 'trooper'! He always made us smile (and many times laugh) at our cowboy banquets and how we looked forward to seeing him each time! August, I know you 'hear' me....you are loved by many and missed by all, including me. Thank you for allowing me to be in your life for just a little while. You will long be remembered - not just for what you have done and given to our country, but to those of us who needed encouragement and friendship....and of course your smile. God Hugs you in His arms as we speak. We will see you in Heaven, my friend. You'll know me by my cowboy hat! XO Tina Hass and Mel too! 🙂
