Bertha Perez

Bertha Perez was born in Finca Clermont San Marcos, Guatemala on May 12, 1948. She is survived by her sisters Martha Lopez and Maria Elena Dunning, her children Erik (Aida) Perez, Ingrid (Paul) Thompson, Carlos Perez, Evelyn (Brett Palm) Perez, seventeen grandchildren, and her great granddaughter Zeia Perez.

Bertha was blessed with a great life. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her kids and grandchildren brought life to her, and she brought happiness to all her family. She attended every birthday, graduation, religious ceremony, and grandchildren’s sports activities.

Bertha worked at Woman’s Athletic Club as a housekeeping manager for thirty-five years. She loved to travel and was adventurous. She was full of life with a great sense of humor and a charming soul. She was a giving person and opened her home to anyone. She was a woman of faith and today she joins her heavenly father. Bertha Perez (aka Mumu and Mommy) will truly be missed and never forgotten.

Visitation Tuesday from 4pm to 9pm at Salerno’s Galewood Chapels. 1857 N Harlem Ave, Chicago, IL 60707. Masks must be worn. Chapel Service 7:00pm – 7:30pm.
