I had the pleasure of working with Dan when I first started at Fisher Scientific. He was a great leader and well respected by everyone in the office. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My condolences to family and friends. Dan will always have a special place in my memories, I always will appreciate his guidance and willingness to help, coach and share. He was jovial and loved to laugh in a contagious sort of way. Miss you Dan. Thanks for everything.

To the Shannon family, my prayers and condolences are to you all. Know that he touched so many lives with his kindness, sense of humor, personality, and genuineness. His laughter was contagious and he made those around him better, just by being their friend. God bless, thank you Dan, and fly high buddy.

I am so deeply saddened to hear about Dan's passing. I had the great privilege to be on Dan's team for several years while at Thermo Fisher. He was an incredibly kind, compassionate, good-natured, and supportive manager, colleague, and friend. I always knew that he had my back, which was everything I could ever ask for in a manager and friend. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to get to know him as he always spoke so highly of his family, and my life is forever enriched because of his humanity. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and I will always picture him with a smile. No words can alleviate the pain from losing a loved one, and far too soon. The days ahead will seem impossible to get through, but I hope that you are able to recall the many wonderful memories and laughs that you shared with him and can find peace knowing that he is now resting. You are all in my prayers, and I will ask my mom to say a novella for him. Rest in power, Dan.

Dan and the Shannon family came into our lives when they moved into the Westwynde development back in the early 2000’s. We share the same wedding date and year, and our kids are the same age and classes. It seemed like fate that our families would become friends and spend so much time together. Dan was such a big part of our families’ activities that enriched our lives and made many great memories, which will be cherished for a long time. Dan’s sense of humor always kept us laughing, and that wry smile and Irish eyes had a twinkle letting you know there was a mischievous side to him as well. Dan and I found ourselves in the ‘dog house’ with Tina and Kristen for a Packers/Bears game adventure at Lambeau Field that became legendary. He was a good man who loved his family and was proud of his kids, and Brendan and Meghan both display the warmth and charm of a guy who was so easy to like and be friends with. My family and so many others will miss him but we’ll see him on the other side one day, and we'll once again raise a glass to toast our families and a life well-lived.

Dan-I’m so sad for you and your family today. I don’t think I’ve seen you since 1985(?), but there’s literally not one St Matt’s Field trip from 1st to 8th grade that I don’t have a memory of you and/or pics that capture how great our childhood was. Life sure got hard after those days but thank you for being a part of my beautiful memories. Prayers to your family, your wife and your babies. Rest in peace. Your friend, Maggie P. S. is the right time to say that I was always jealous you got to skip school & go to the St Paddy’s Parade with your family?! And your awesome dog , Shamrock who dutifully stayed in the front yard. Hope you & Shamrock are having lots of good play time., my friend. <3

Dan was a trusted mentor, colleague and a friend to me and was instrumental in helping me when I first started at work. Always there to lend a positive word of encouragement, he truly helped to mold me into the sales professional and person I am today. He poured his whole heart and soul into everything he did and always spoke of his family so fondly. will be greatly missed. Rest in piece, my friend.

Dan you will be greatly missed. Although I haven’t seen you in quiet some time, you were always my son’s favorite uncle. It was my honor to have gotten to know and meet you. I’m feel blessed for my son to have you as an uncle in addition to his Auntie Tina, and cousins Meg and Bren. My heart breaks for you all. Jacob and Jason Freeman will always be the loves of my life and I’m glad I was apart of your family even if it wasn’t in a significant way. My deepest condolences goes out to you you all.

I will always remember Dan for how kind of a person he truly was. Throughout all the years Brendan and I played baseball together, Dan would never pass up an opportunity to say hello, and ask how I was doing. I will always remember the days when Dan would take me and Brendan back from baseball practice, where Dan would tell some of the funniest jokes I’ve heard to this day. My prayers are with the Shannon family, and Dan truly will be missed.

Although we haven't seen Dan in a few years, he is a person you never forget. We met Dan years ago when our boys played baseball together. Dan was always so kind to us and our son. We enjoyed our many conversations with him at the ball fields. He had the most positive attitude of anyone we can think of. It was obvious that Dan loved his family and was extremely committed to them. He was truly one of the good guys. We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will always remember Dan as a kind, generous, and caring person. He was an extraordinary father to Brendan and Meghan. Dan was at every event-dance recitals, football games, volleyball tournaments. He loved Tina and would do anything for her. Family was everything to Dan. We will always remember his laugh and his infectious sense of humor. Brendan and Meghan are and will be exceptional people. They are and will be because of Dan and Tina. We love Dan, Tina, Brendan, and Meghan. We pray God surrounds them with His love and fills them with His Grace.

Though we did not stay in touch once we graduated, the short time I did know him was interesting to say the least. I know that he will be missed by his loved ones. My prayers are with you.

Dan was a trusted colleague, a great friend, and a true gentleman. He spoke often of his family fondly...the sign of a great man in my opinion. I am so sorry for your loss! He loved his family, and he cared for his work-family too. He made all of us better sales people! I loved working with Dan and will miss him dearly. I look forward to seeing you in heaven some day my friend!
