So sorry to hear, I just found out about this. I am so sorry for your loss. Jim and I went to law school together, and he was my best friend during those years and got me through a lot. He stood up in my wedding. What a great guy, he will be missed. He was smart, funny and very caring. What a wonderful family, very sorry for your loss.

Jim was such a special human being. I met him several times when he visited my nephews as a teen. Years later, he represented me in a court case. Jim was a compassionate, caring, loving soul. He made a significant positive impact on this world of ours. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and coworkers. He was a prince among men. Rest in Peace.

I was so shocked and sorry to hear about D. I had the pleasure of knowing him both when he was with the Corp Counsel’s Office and in private practice. Every time I saw D, it was like seeing a family member. He was one of the most decent, level headed attorneys I ever worked with, more than that, he was a great person. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

We were saddened to hear about Demetris’s passing. I will always remember his warm and generous nature. Demetris was one of my first colleagues at the City’s law department and I am better for having known him.

Jim Kare. Jimmy always introduced me as his second father. Therefore, he has given me the right to call him our third son. His given name (Kare) is so appropriate for it describes him perfectly. Always a steadfast, loyal and caring friend, he never allowed us to pay or payback favors he did for us. Jimmy always went beyond what was requested of him. We met Jimmy (big brown eyes and beautiful curly black hair) through our son Michael when they were both 15. Jimmy could not help himself from laughing when our sons, Michael and Chris, were getting chastised by me. Jimmy taught us how to be Greek. He took great pride in inviting us to many dinners at his home where is mother and grandmother prepared outstanding Greek dishes and his Dad followed up with brandy and cigars. I know that Jimmy is with the angels now helping them nail down the appropriate rules of conduct for those of us who remain and are to follow into the heavenly kingdom. He should know that he will always be in our thoughts and prayers. And as his Dad (Art) would always say, “Jimmy, you better believe it!” David Knox

Honey truly was a sincere, kind, and welcoming man. It was impossible to not be in a great mood when around him. I will miss his laugh, his personality, and talking with him about obscure music interests. Please find peace, you are missed.

My heart dropped when I heard on Wednesday about the passing of my friend Demetris, because he was such a great man. He always took time to explain things when it came to the projects we worked on together. The passion he exhibited while in court (all audio recorded) had us all talking whenever we listened to them. I'll always remember your calling me, "Al the Kiddies Pal". Miss you tremendously D. May God be with your family at this most difficult time.

Demetris will always be remembered as the most kind, thoughtful and generous Soul. As a municipal attorney, “D” worked in housing court to promote Public Safety and improve living conditions for thousands in need. He subsequently built a law firm predicated upon principles of equity and integrity. His Wife Kristina, his daughter and son are in our thoughts and prayers.
