Domenico D’Alessandro, born in Bitritto, Bari, Italy on November 9, 1933, passed away on President’s Day, February 18th, 2019 in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Loving companion of Rose Ateniese. Survived by a dear sister, nieces and nephew, of Bitritto. Dear friend of many. He came to Chicago at age 17. Served as a member of the Air Force during the Korean War. Member of a Local Masonry Union. Member of Casa Italia and the Chicagoland Italian American Charitable Organization (CIACO). He loved gardening, wine making and cooking. He had an extensive knowledge of history; and politics, from international to local, was his passion. He will be widely missed

Just learned about Dominick passing away. I tried calling him for Easter and didnt reach him. He was a great friend to my mom and dad and family. Dominick may you rest in peace and thank you for your kind friendship to our family. You will be missed! Condolences to Rosie and his family. Rosanna Ambrogio and the Esposito family

DOMINIC ! What a great friend always making gifts of food and wine to share which was his passion. He showed me some very useful tips on growing grapes and pruning, he surly will be missed . My condolences to Rosie and family.

I am so sorry that we lost Domenico, a real gentleman. I enjoyed his company and the delicious Italian treats he made for us at our Wednesday espresso breaks at the Casa Italia Library. My condolences to Rose and to Dominic's paisani.
