Dominick Campobasso passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the age of 79. Beloved Husband for a loving 56 years to Santa nee Latrofa, Campobasso. Devoted Father of Nino (Chara) Campobasso, Anna (Tom) Pechous and Danny (Angela) Campobasso. Loving Son of the late Gaetano & Anna Campobasso. Fond Grandfather of Dominick, Magdalia, Matteo, Andreas, Domenico and Sophia. Fond Nephew of many Aunts & Uncles. Dear Brother of Joe (Maria) Campobasso, Mario Campobasso, the late Frank Campobasso and the late Tony Campobasso. Dear Uncle of many Nieces & Nephews. Dominick has a host of loving Cousins. Dominick enjoyed wine making, gardening and skeet shooting. Ladies who met him always complimented on the “Twinkle in his eyes”. Dominick truly loved his family – especially his grandchildren.
Family and friends are to gather for the visitation on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake Street, Roselle, Illinois 60172. Funeral to follow on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels at 9:00 am. Proceeding to Corpus Christi Parish, 1415 W. Lies Road, Carol Stream, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly 10:00 a.m. Entombment at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines.

While I personally did not know Dominick, I’m pretty sure he was a man of hard work, high morals and a loving family man. Which I’m sure he instilled in his children. I see this daily from his Son Daniel at the Illinois Tollway my heart goes out to Daniel and the rest of his family. Our thought and prayers are with you all.

Domenick was absolulovedby everyone that knew him at our office. We will miss him. May he rest in peace
