Donald E. Longo, age 74, Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Parille); Devoted father of Denise (Michael) Mark, Donald J. (Julie) and Mark (Laurie) Longo; Loving son of the late Joseph and Margaret Longo; Dear brother of Florence and the late Robert Longo; Dear grandfather of Macey Longo, David Obrock, Nichole (Michael) Giron and Bailey Miller, great-grandfather of Ramiah. Don grew up on Lytle Street in Chicago and was proud of his Italian heritage. He married in 1963 and went on to raise their three children in Addison, IL with his wife Eileen. He was employed as a truck driver for many years before owning his own remodeling company. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Grand Victoria Casino as a dealer and a concierge. Don was quick-witted, funny and charming and although he loved to tease people, he was beloved by all. He enjoyed talking to people and he seemed to know someone almost everywhere he went. Don enjoyed watching hockey, fishing, and taking road trips. He also enjoyed a good hot dog stand, his favorite being Gene & Jude’s on River Road. Don was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him. Funeral Thursday, family and friends are asked to gather Thursday 9:30 a.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W.
