George Sutter, 68, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Chicago to parents Sam and Rose Sutter.
George was a devoted husband to his wife of 35 years, Vicki, loving father to his two children, Zak (Melanie), Sammy (Carolyn), and Grandpa to his beautiful granddaughter Ariana, daughter of Zak and Melanie. Caring brother to Randy (Barb), Gus (Vesna), Kimberly, and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. George got his start working in his family restaurant, Cafe La Cave, and would eventually open a restaurant with his siblings, Thumpers, located in Schaumburg where he built lifelong friendships and memories. He would then begin a new journey opening his flooring company, Design Carpet, which he owned and operated until his retirement this year. In his free time, George enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind and generous man who always put others first. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh with his quick wit. George will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering integrity, and his generous spirit. He touched the lives of many people and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. George, your memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
