Glenn M. Tolentino, 33, of Chicago, IL, passed away after a short battle with cancer on May 22, 2022.
Glenn is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Victoria Magsino, and paternal grandfather, Domingo Tolentino. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Fe Tolentino, estranged father, Edgar Tolentino, his sister, Gail Tolentino, and his nephew, Gavin Tolentino, along with uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends who were like family to him.
Glenn was born on October 10, 1988 in Chicago, IL. He stayed in Illinois until he attended St. Louis University, where he met some life long friends while working in the service industry. In 2014, he came back home to be closer to his nephew and other family members. Little did he know that he would find friends who became family while living downtown. Although his heart always laid in Chicago, he was a world traveler. He enjoyed the history, romance, shopping, and food of many places like Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Australia. He was a practical joker with a generous heart of gold. He sang and danced endlessly to musical, especially when an Abba song or Broadway song came on. Very rarely did he ever turn down the chance to be at a Cubs game or to be by Lake Michigan.
Services will be held at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel Funeral home on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 4-9pm. Mass will follow the next day, Saturday June 4, 2022 at St. Isidore’s Church at 9:30am.
