Gregorio T. Solis, Jr.

November 18, 1975 – October 18, 2021

It is with profound sadness that the Solis family announces the passing of Gregorio T. Solis Jr. at the young age of 45. Greg was truly an amazing husband, father, son, brother, godfather, relative and friend to all lives he touched.

Gregorio was born in Des Plaines, IL on November 18, 1975. He was predeceased in death by his sister Gloria Solis on February 28, 1998, along with many other loved ones throughout the years. He is survived by his wonderful father and mother, Gregorio and Felicitas Solis, loving wife Theresa Cooper, adorable children Ariana and Carmelo Solis and proud step-son Kyle Nowak. He will additionally be missed by his godchildren Nicolas Gonzalez and Ryan Reyes.

Greg worked at the same company for 20+ years, where he met his wife Theresa. Work colleagues turned into friendship and eventually into a loving relationship of so many fantastic memories. He was passionate about so many things, the list is difficult to compile.

Baseball, baseball, baseball! Greg’s love for baseball was second to none. Always cheering for his favorite team – Go Cubs! He also volunteer coached for Kyle and Carmelo and worked as an umpire when he could. Theresa always told him, he missed his calling as a sports announcer; he was a Rolodex of information for all sports!

If Greg was around, everyone knew! His vibrant voice carried for all to hear and his stories were intoxicating. Once you started listening, you were hooked.

But nothing, and I mean nothing was more important than making his kids happy! Starbucks, arcades, carnivals, go-carts, water parks, ice cream – anything they wanted, he delivered without question!

Greg, Jr., Mijo, Dad, Babes – however you called his name – will be forever in our memories and hearts!
