I will always cherish the memories of Mrs. Salonga greeting us at the door as we arrived to occupy her basement almost every weekend as teenagers. She welcomed us and fed us and harassed us as any good mom would. She will be remembered well and fondly for her kindness. Sending my deepest condolences to Frank, Marc, Heather and Gabe and the Salonga and Luchico families.

Minia, Like what I told Frank and Marc, I don't know what to say. I will surely miss you. Thanks for the good memories together as childhood playmates in Navotas, college mates in FEU, and then again, as office mates in Chicago. We got married and have children almost at the same time and shared almost all the happenings of our married life. On our last chat over the phone, we talked for a long time about our children and grandchildren. Just like every time we chat, we ended laughing with a promise of my planned visit to Chicago after the Covid scare was over, OK now Minia, late na. Missed you so much for now - Until we meet again.

Mrs. Salonga always had smiles and laughter for the group of kids that invaded her house most weekend nights, in the early 90s. She showed true warmth and a concern for our safety and well being. She asked me about my future and listened to my answers. Her impact on our lives was perhaps subtle, but there's no doubt it was positive and permanent. Prayers to Frank, Marcell, and the Salonga and Luchico families.
