James Falcione

James (Jim) Robert Falcione, age 81, passed away September 5, 2017 at his home in Sun City West, Arizona surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Chicago on December 1, 1935. Owner of Acme Motor Freight, Jim retired in 2001. He lived in Bloomingdale for many years until moving to Arizona with his wife in 2012. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea as a Senior Intelligence Analyst. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a 25-year member of the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Chicago. Survived by his loving wife, Phillis Falcione; his children Lynn Ann (Patrick) Geraty and James John Falcione; mother of the children, Nancy Falcione (Paone); grandchildren Alexandra, Amanda, Nicholas and Danielle; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, John E. Sr.; mother, Stella; brother John and half brother, Charles DeCarlo. Medinah Country Club member for 34 years, Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed the warmth and joy of many lifetime friendships. Always the consummate storyteller, he was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21, from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W.
