One of the most influential people in my life, Mr. Llorens gave me a huge confidence and skills boost in my wrestling career. He was thrilled when I earned All-American honors in university. Now I see why. He never let on that he was an All-American himself. Mr. LLorens was also my driver education teacher. In fact, I just quoted him last week. As he would say when asked about whose fault it would be in certain driving accidents, "You might be right, you might also be dead right." Just a super supportive and positive person for me. My sincerest condolences - Dan Franch

I knew Jim from his days when he taught and coached at Addison Trail High School. His tenure at Addison Trail helped mold so many of the teens he had contact with whether it was in the classroom or on the playing field. He was a true gentleman and someone I was proud to know. Rest in peace Jim. My sympathy and condolences to the Llorens family. Roman E. Strzala

Kathy and I met Jim around the time Kathy stood up in Susan and Jim's wedding. We had known Susan since we were backyard neighbors in Glendale Heights, Il.We really enjoyed Jim's easy spirit and it was as if we had known him for years. It was enough that we were Susan's friends. Over the years we got to know Jim through holiday dinners and visits to a vineyards/golf course outside Atalanta. Jim had a smile on his face that never stopped, and it was sincere. Frankly, I marveled at Jim's interactions with Susan and their new, blended family even when, as holidays can do, things got exciting. If I ever saw Jim get a little tired of the family drama, we would just go downstairs to watch some sports and, in no time, he had that huge smile, or a great story about Chris playing softball; and he was back.We spent some time together with Jim and Susan at another wedding; our two children, mark and Chris got married. We all had a great time. Jim carried himself with a quiet dignity. He was a good man who never had anything but kindness toward all and a competitive spirit that did not know how to give up. On a trip to our place in Texas, which was mostly for Kathy and Susan (sewing and quilts), Jim found a pickup game of basketball with a group of neighborhood kids He did this for several days while I had to work. Jim had a way with young people. He had to have patience, to teach driving and coach HS softball. not to mention playing pick-up basketball with boys half his age. Jim's spirit lives with all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. Thanks, Susan, for sharing Jim with us. .

To our good friend, Paula and I were sad to learn of your passing. There are just a few people you meet in your life that leave you with an indelible mark. You were one of those people. I enjoyed some of the best times of my life when we coached the 16-u softball team. We had such a good group of kids and parents. You taught me a lot of little things that I still recall today. So as the song says. Go Rest High On That Mountain. Your Work on Earth Is Done To Sue and the kids our deepest sympathy. Thanks Jim Curt and Paula Slipke

He was always full of life and loved his family with all his heart, and this showed in all he did. I was lucky to even see him at school once coaching, another great love he had over the years. He will definitely be missed but he will live on in the hearts and memories of all who were lucky enough to have known him as a teacher, coach, father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle....in all the ways he was able to brighten up someone's life. My deepest condolences to all of you.
