Joan Marie Notaro (nee Cantalupo), 83, of Palatine, IL passed away peacefully at

She is also survived by her loving sisters Diane Cantalupo; and Janice (Thomas)
Anderson, both of whom she shared a very special relationship. She was predeceased
by her daughter Laurie Ann; her brother John; and her sister Lois. Her love extended
to relatives and friends from all over the country. All who knew her appreciated her
strong love of family. After graduating from Notre Dame High School, Joan was handpicked
as the executive secretary for the CEO of the R.H. Campbell company. She also
devoted time volunteering for a variety of activities at St. Emily’s Catholic School and
Sacred Heart of Mary High School. She went on to what she considered her most
important and meaningful job of raising 6 children, being a grandmother, and greatgrandmother,
which she cherished and loved her entire life. Joan was an avid reader,
a wizard at crossword puzzles and board games and enjoyed drawing, bowling and
