To John's family and especially his wife Dianna. If I spelled your name wrong please forgive me. As you may remember John and I went to school from Lincoln Grade school to Roosevelt Jr. High School and the Proviso West where we both graduated in 1965. I saw John at the 50th HS class reunion and he looked great. I missed seeing you there but he said you were not feeling well. He is in my prayers. God Bless him and his family. Jim Poehling

I grew up in Bellwood and was blessed to have had John Guido as a friend. It was a great place and time to have grown up. Even though we didn't see each other after high school for many years, when we did meet at high school reunions it was like we were back in our youth remembering all our great memories. My memories of John is and always will be family and friends. John always surrounded himself with family and friends. John always tried to make the lives of family and friends better. I'll miss you John Guido, thank you for all the memories.

John, the most generous and kindest man who touched everyone who was lucky enough to know him. He made you feel good, he made you laugh, and you had a good time when you were in his company. Two or three summers ago, John and Diane invited us to a Sox game along with 2 other couples (Joe and Jimmy and their wives). We met at their house, stopped at Dunkin for coffee for Diane, and headed to the game in a very beautiful, decked out to the max, extended van. How John manipulated that large vehicle in and out of Chicago traffic, God only knows. We were all roaring with laughter while John talked away with Anthony oblivious to what we were seeing in the back. We had a great time at the Sox game, but John didn’t feel the night would be complete without a stop at Taylor Street for Italian ice and his Lupini beans. While heading back on the expressway, the car in front of us stopped suddenly which caused John to stop suddenly and his beloved Lupini beans flew onto the floor. John wasn’t worried about the beans though because he knew how clean the vehicle was and was looking forward to eating those beans. We laughed so much. It is a fond memory! John always held good on promises too. He knew what a diehard Cubs fan my mother in law was and promised her if they ever made it to the World Series games, he would get her a ticket. Well surprisingly it happened! John called up Anthony and wanted him to have that special time at the World Series game with his mom. They had an awesome time and were well taken care of because of John. So generous! That was John! We have such gratitude for such an amazing man. We will never forget you John! Rest In Peace dear soul! Love and Hugs to the entire Guido Family!

I was introduced to Mr. Guido by his nephew TJ. Every time I saw or talked to Mr. Guido I was met with a handshake, a smile, and a good word or two. As both a friend of the family and a customer, I was always treated with kindness and respect. Mr. Guido was a class act! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Guido and Navigato family. May he Rest In Peace. He will be missed!

Guido Family,I am truly saddened to hear of John’s passing. My husband Ken worked for John and Tony back in the early days of Arlington Heights Ford. Those were good years and fun times. Who could forget those yearly picnics at Deer Grove Forest Preserve with John swatting bees away from the grills? I send my deep sympathy to you all at this difficult time and pray so many memories comfort you in the days ahead. Rest In Peace, John.

Very sorry to hear of John's passing. John was a very dear friend to my father Rocco and I know he will be deeply missed. I have very fond memories of John and the rest of the old Al Piemonte Softball team from my childhood. John was always very competitive and certainly brought the most fun to the team. Wishing his family and friends all the best as you continue to journey through this week celebrating John's life. Peace be with you.

Diana, John JR, Tony and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. John meant so much to me and is a big reason why I will always consider the Chicago Region as my Ford home. We are so fortunate that we were blessed with someone who cared so much about the dealership employees and customers, and there will never be a more passionate and devoted FDAF Chairman. I will miss hearing him tell stories, but I have so many committed to memory. He was never more proud than when he was talking about his family. He will be greatly missed - but always remembered.
