Joseph Ferrarell

Joseph J Ferrarell, 21, of Schaumburg, died November 16, 2019 as a result of Glioblastoma. He was born October 26, 1998, the son of Rick Ferrarell and Laura (Loftus) Sparks. He graduated from Schaumburg High School in 2017 and received his associate degree from Harper College in 2019 while in the midst of battling cancer.

Joe was all about family and creating things. He was a deep thinker with a diverse set of interests that ranged from physics to religion. His passion, however, was building cars, CNC machining, engineering and creating new recipes. His mind was continually working on design and invention. Never afraid to try, Joe was a man of quiet self-confidence and wry sense of humor. These traits were just a small part of what made him one of the coolest people you would ever meet. But it was his presence, his thoughtfulness and positive outlook that will be missed the most. Joe was blessed with the gift of deep and genuine kindness for others. His grace and spirit will stay forever with all that have known him.

Joe is survived by his parents Rick Ferrarell and Laura Sparks and his sisters Aimee and Faye. He also leaves his uncles Joe, Mike (Kathleen), Tim (Carey) Ferrarell and aunt Janette (Ken) Seigel along with cousins Caitlin, Michael, Thomas, and Eileen Ferrarell and Quentin, Forrest and Spencer Siegel and Bobby (Cat) who watched over him every day. He is also survived by many close family friends who helped Joe through his journey.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Salerno Funeral Home at the Rosedale Chapel, Roselle, Il.
