Katie, I'm so saddened by the news of your mother's passing. I will miss her beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor. You were the center of your mom and Dad's life. Most conversations here in Arizona centered around you and your beautiful family. My husband and I enjoyed our visits to Mike and Juanita's winter home in Tucson where we would settle on the patio with cocktails in hand and watch the golfers pass by. Mike and I would reminisce about our childhood days in Cleveland and your mother would always top our stories with tales of her younger days. Your Mom was loved by all who knew her, but she was adored by her mother and father-in-law, Mary and Harvey. That's how very special her memory is to me.

Dear Katie, Jim and all, Though I did not often get to be with Juanita, I heard so very much about her as my Mother, Florence Yurick was Mike's Aunt, and Mary Grant (your Mother-in-law) was my mother's sisterr. I know how very, very fond my Mother and my Aunt Mary was of Juanita & Mike and of you Katie. They spoke about you all so very, very often -always with a smile. Juanita known for her sly and adventurous humour and spirit! I am sure it lives on. I did not know you so well Katie, but I know my Mom and Aunt well, and they are so proud of you, we your famiiy are. It's so hard to lose your mother, so hard, sending you heartfelt love, she was one of a kind! We will be thinking of you on Monday and all the days ahead. Loretta Yurick, Dalkey, Co. Dublin Ireland and Robert Connor, my husband

Oh Katie, I’m so very sorry and saddened to hear of this. Your mom was loved so much by all of us as we raised our kids together in Bloomingdale. Juanita could make us laugh with her one-liners and she was always dressed like a lady. She was our queen and guiding hand. She could put perspective on any problem and could face down any threat. I’m so glad to have such great memories of her to hold onto. I am sending love and prayers to you and your family along with a hug just for you.

So very sad to hear about Juanita's passing. Larry called me. Thank you for posting this on facebook. I am so very sorry that I will not be able to attend the visitation and express my sympathy to you in person. It will be the first family event that I will miss. Juanita was a very special cousin to me and Weldon. Her special smile and laugh will be long remembered. She was so very proud of you and the boys. May God Bless you and your family today and always. Love, Ellen Jacobson

Dear Katie and family, We are cousins to your mom and dad, living in Minneapolis MN. Mike and Juanita were so kind to us whenever we saw them. They gave my wife and I a great tour of Chicago many years ago. Your mom always had a great laugh. I'm sure you'll miss her. Sending you our love and condolences. Greg, Karen, and all the Florence Yurick siblings wish you the best at this difficult time.

Hi Katie and Family, I'm one of your Dad's cousins from Mpls. I looked up to your Mom and Dad so much when I was younger and always had so much fun with them. I loved to talk to your Mom anytime there was a gathering of the Grant family. I will miss her beautiful smile and her wonderful sense of humor. Please know that Juanita and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Katie, I will not be able to attend the services for Juanita but I wanted to send you a message. I am Terry LaCerra's cousin and knew your mom and dad through him. Your mom and I became close friends through many years of water classes at the Sports Center. As you know well, your mom always spoke her mind and did so frankly. I want you to know that, while I never met you or your family, your mother always spoke highly of all of you. She was so very proud of you and Jim and, most especially "the boys". While we were not able to see each other much during this difficult year, we spoke often. I will miss her dearly. Pat McGrath
