Kathy Jeanne (Duckworth) Morris was born in Peoria Illinois on March 30, 1952 and passed away on August 23, 2021. She was raised in Princeville Illinois and attended Princeville Grade School and High School. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in teaching and Library Science. She began her career teaching at Marian Catholic High School and then went on to be at technical librarian at Weiss Memorial Hospital, The American Foundryman Society, Fantus Corporation/Dun and Bradstreet, and Berger Library Consulting. While raising her family she was a substitute teacher in the Glenbard High School District.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Daniel and her three sons: Sean (Kate), Aron (Nicole) and Ryan (Sarah) along with six grandchildren: Jack, Lucy, Cecelia, Cameron, Kelley and Quinn. She was predeceased by her Parents.
Kathy was the ultimate supermom who raised three sons to be loving, considerate, and compassionate young men, husbands, and fathers, being competitive in school and sports and life. She attended every soccer, baseball, and football game the boys participated in as she could even including three college football bowl games. She was a religious education teacher and participated in different scouting projects. She was also a very busy chauffeur carting the boys and their friends from here to there. She loved to do cross stitching, crossword puzzles, playing Mahjong and keeping three boys in line. She also enjoyed in participating in the many Knight of Columbus family activities.
Kathy was thrilled when the boys brought home their future wives to make it even boys to girls. She now also has three grandsons and three granddaughters.
Kathy had many titles in her full life which included: daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, teacher, friend, but the title that she cherished the most was Mom and Grandma. She loved her family dearly and they gave her back to her the same amount of love and more.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Healthwell Foundation or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation who were with her during this journey.

I was so sorry to hear about Kathy. I was looking forward to maybe seeing her at our 51st class reunion next month. There was a group of us that I felt close to of which she of course was one. I know she had to be a great Mom and Grandma and of course wife. Always remember all of the good times she shared with you. Bless all of you. Dolores {Diver} Symonds

My deepest condolences to the Morris family. I will always fondly remember Kathy as a great neighbor and friend and will never forgot her big smile. She was the first person I met when moving into the neighborhood. We celebrated life’s major events together; graduations, weddings, showers, even milestone birthdays. We played bunco together, talked about our kids and grandkids, and enjoyed concerts in the park together. She will truly be missed but never forgotten. Dan and family, I hope your memories of Kathy help ease your loss. My deepest condolences. Joan and Dan Prena

I will miss Kathy; she was a good caring neighbor; kind in every sense of the word. Anytime I knocked on her door; always unannounced, she would open her door wide, and with a big smile say Come right in! We'd sit, chat, and more than once prayed together. Dan, I will always remember when you and her came to my husband's funeral service last summer. Because of Kathy's compromised immune system, I was very pleased, surprised, and maybe a bit concerned to see her. When I briefly expressed my gratitude and concern, she simply told me, "Marta, one just has to do what is right." Those words will always stay with me and spoke volumes of the person she was. May God comfort the family and give you peace knowing that she is resting now in the arms of her Creator and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and until we meet again, and we will, her memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved and were blessed enough to have known her. God is always good!!! RIP my friend Kathy! The Mims Family❤❤❤

When we moved to Carol Stream, Kathy was the first mom that I met on the block! She was so warm and friendly and bonus…..she had boys to play with mine! Over the years we played Bunco and made great memories with our still ongoing Gourmet group. We’ve been through weddings and babies and we were great friends. We had a bond because we were both from downstate and Dan never let us forget we were from the hillbilly side of the tracks(all in good fun). Through her illness, I would drive her to get our nails done, go for a Dr appointment or just go shopping. Kathy was the bravest lady that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She never complained, was always upbeat and had a story to tell about one of her grandkids or Dan. She was a big part of my life that I will truly miss. She loved family, friends and life in general. I can’t believe you’re gone, but the memories will always be with me. Love you

Kathy was a wonderful friend and neighbor. We have the good fortune to be backyard neighbors of Kathy and Dan. Our sons were the best of friends and we enjoyed teaming up to keep them moving in the right direction. Kathy raised three wonderful sons and it was our great pleasure to know her. She will be missed by our entire neighborhood. May she Rest In Peace knowing that she will live on in her children and grandchildren.

Dan, Sean, Aron, Ryan, and family; Jackie and I have known your mom and dad for 40+ years, and you boys for almost as long. We have such great memories of Kathy! They include the three of us giving Dan as much grief as possible, Jackie taking Kathy to Chico’s and Starbucks, and watching the three of you boys grow into great young men. Condolences from us, as well as Kari, Jessica, and Shannon.
