Dear Stoefen Family, I want too send to your family my deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one. Losing someone who is so close to you in your heart can be very hard to deal with and heartbreaking, but death is not something that we should have to go through. Death is truly an enemy of ours. Our loving God has promised us all something to look forward to in the near future. A scripture taking from (Reve. 21: 4) says “he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” This is a beautiful promise that your family can look forward to that will come true. Sincerely, Ms. Thompson

Scott: John Irmen called me in the way to the visitation and told me the heartbreaking news about the loss of your daughter. I wanted to let you know I’m praying (with my family) for your comfort in this incredibly difficult time. My daughter is 13 and am heartsick that you are experiencing this loss. Trust in God and know so many are sending prayers. So sorry to hear of this, God Be with you.

Dear Stoefen Family, I only had the pleasure of meeting Lindsey once for homebound tutoring but it was clear to me that she was a light onto your family. She showed a clear determination to do her best in anything she set as a goal. You raised a beautiful person both inside and out. I know she touched many students and staff in U-46 and will be dearly missed. I am so truly sorry for your loss. Amy Porter

From the moment our daughters met, there was a connection no one could deny. This brought us together as friends, and a special closeness that continues to grow. Lindsey's big heart, relentlessly caring nature and sense of humor illuminated the room for all, young and old, to appreciate. She supported and loved an amazing group of friends over the years, and we are all grateful for this friendship because it will fuel us all for an eternity. As I’ve told you many times, she is a reflection of her amazing family values and loving home. And like a big brother, Luke will always be Lindsey’s protector in her journey ahead. Thank you Stoefen family for loving and caring for Lindsey the way you did because she has touched all of us in ways we will never forget. God bless you all as we celebrate her life. Her strength and determination will live on in our hearts and minds. Love you all very much and we are here for you. Anytime. Anywhere. Anything.

My heart breaks for all that knew and loved Lindsey. Lindsey was part of one of my very favorite 6th grade classes. She came in the door everyday with a smile on her face and a positive attitude in her heart. This 6th grade class was unique in that everyone seemed to really like each other and lived the year through as sort of a family. And Lindsey was definitely one of the first examples of comradery and acceptance in our class that resulted in a very successful and enjoyable year that I will never forget. As a teacher, you can't help but look at each student and dream of what their future might look like. I always saw Lindsey as a leader, with a joyous spirit. She always saw the best in people, and went out of her way to help anyone in need, whether is was giving up her favorite Smencil to the kid that forgot his, or sitting ever so patiently with the a student that needed tons of help on her narrative essay. I knew that every friend she made would feel so fortunate to have her in their circle. And that every assignment, task, or challenge she would face, she would accomplish with grace and sincerity. Simply, I admired Lindsey!!! She definitely left a mark on this world and touched many lives. I pray that her spirit lives on in all that knew her.

To the most incredible girl we have ever had the joy to meet. Loved by all so much and will be missed forever. She has inspired us all with her courage, strength and determination. She has given us all a much deeper appreciation of life, family and friendship. She will be on our minds and in our hearts for eternity. Her parents and brother have also shown us the true meaning of family and love. My deepest condolences.
