Lois Pike, age 90, loving wife of the late Donald, cherished mother of Donna ,Lori (Dale), Kathy (Jim), Chip (Wendy), Sue and John. Loving grandma of nine, great-grandma of seven. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Born in Chicago, the proud daughter of Swedish immigrant Knute and Cora Hazel and beloved sister of six.

Lois was a woman ahead of her time. She began her career at age 17. After successfully raising her children she reentered the workforce and eventually took over a family business upon her husbands death. She was one of the first woman owner of an office supply dealership.

Lois was passionate about her faith, family and dear friends and never passed up a chance for a good party. For many years she enjoyed Friday night gin rummy games. She loved her home and garden, especially sunflowers and daisies and loved feeding the birds. She loved the cardinals that visited the bird feeders and always said “an angel is near when a cardinal appears”. But what we will remember most is her favorite phrase “It’s All Good”. She truly believed that.

Lois will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations or Memorial Masses to St. Walter Church where she was a faithful member since 1960.

What a beautiful service and my virtual hugs to all. I had the privilege of sharing Christmas while I was growing up with the Pike/Gustafson families and when older many celebrations such as weddings and family reunions. I will always remember Aunt Lois' smile and laughter and am very thankful that she was part of my life.

I met Lois through Joe Devlin. She was an absolutely delightful person. She always had a big smile on her face. She always made me feel so welcome when I saw her. I will miss seeing her at church. May she Rest In Peace.

To Kathy and the entire Pike family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad I was able to meet Lois, she was a firecracker and it was always interesting and entertaining with her at the table. I hope your many memories of her will warm your heart.
