Taglia Family; I just learned about Lou. I played basketball with him at St. Philip H.S., we had a great team and he was an important cog on that team. I have many great stories and memories of him during our school years and at many of the reunions. He will always be in my prayers, another fantastic Gael gone. Jack

To the Taglia Family, We, at the Golden Steer, are deeply saddened by the news of our beloved Doc passing away. Doc was a tremendous presence who always made everyone feel apart of the family and was always welcoming. He was a true ambassador for the Steer whether it was organizing the golf outing or the Steer’s participation in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Forest Park. There will never be another Doc! We are comforted that he’s up in heaven along with Big Charlie, Judge O’Malley, John Booth, and many other regulars of the Steer having a drink, telling old stories, and having a wonderful time. We pray that the memories you have will bring you comfort. We know it will for us. We will miss our Doc. May His Memory Be Eternal. Charlie, Gus, Tom & the Golden Steer Steakhouse Family

I met Lou in 1961 at Ft. Ord, CA when we were both in the Army. We've been close friends since that day, even though he would remind me the he was a Captain and I only a Lieutenant. He never let me forget it! Two days before he passed away I was fortunate enough to talk with him as he spoke of our shared Army experiences. We enjoyed many sporting activities then and through the years. Lou and I had a tough time beating our wives in Monopoly, but found that stashing hundreds of dollars in a kitchen drawer gave us a slight edge at winning! (Right, Darla)! Lou always had a smile on his face, was upbeat and looked at the bright side of life. He's always been our family dentist. He was very proud of his family and included us in many family celebrations through the years. We knew Rocky as a toddler and were honored to be stand-in godparents for Laurie. Louis has always been the best of friends and he will be so missed by us.
