Another soul for the cloud of saints that surround us. What a wonderful woman was your mom, Patti, but I don't have to tell you that. She was strong and kind. Always welcoming, Joe and I so enjoyed family gatherings with her amongst all the Marino cousins. She was so down-to-earth, a great person to talk with. And the love she had for you and your dad was there like a strong current, evident and consistent. I'll miss seeing her when we next visit Chicagoland, but she will forever be in our hearts. Raymond Rossiter wrote these words that have always brought me comfort at the time when someone treasured passes: “Life is eternal; and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.” I hope you feel God's presence in the surround of those who also loved your mom, like me. Godspeed, cousin Lucille.

Patti So sorry to hear of the passing or your mom. I remember your most unselfish act in pass along your kidney without which your mom may not have been here as long as she was. The obituary did not mention anywhere for donations. If there was a cause your mother supported I would be pleased to make a donation in her name. Again, sorry for your loss Bernie Citron

Patti, I'm sure you hold fond memories of both your Mom & Dad. It must be hard to lose her, but believe she is at rest with your Dad. They were both such good neighbors, and Lucille soldiered on after your Dad's passing. When I first moved here, I often called your Mom "Louise." She never seemed to mind and never corrected me. Finally, one day as I was greeting "Vince and Louise," Your Dad said, "Her name is Lucille." We all laughed. Be consoled that she will be missed by many of her neighbors.
