Luigi Bifano (Gino) passed away peacefully in his home on July 20th, 2022 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on September 1st, 1939 in Acri, Cosenza, Italy to Luigi and Giuseppa ( Toscana).

Devoted husband to Rosa Maria (Scaduto) of 56 years; selfless father of Josephine (Edward), Mario and Vincent Bifano. Loving grandfather of Gina Marie and Joseph Baran.
Fond brother of 6 siblings in Italy, survived by his sisters Michelina (Antonio) and Rosaria Bifano. Admired uncle, cousin, and friend to many others. Gino will also be missed by Leo, his beloved dog who laid by his side until his very last day.

Luigi served in the Italian Carabinieri with pride for nine years in Rome, Bolzano and eventually in Sicily where he found Rosa, the love of his life. In 1966 he immigrated to the US where he wed Rosa and his family life began. Luigi was a very humble man, diligent and hard-working, as demonstrated by his work ethic and drive to provide for his family. He was fortunate to work for 27 years at the M&M Mars company as a Mechanic.

Luigi was not just a mechanic for his company, but in his free time he was a Jack of all trades…. Self-taught carpenter, builder, engineer, electrician, plumber, painter, gardener, wine maker, and “tinkered” with everything that had to be fixed. Everyone called him when something went wrong. Sadly, his cancer was the only thing he could not fix.

Sincere condolences for Gino, Rosa, and their family. I will never forget when Eleanor and I visited with them years ago. They both were wonderful hosts. The food was wonderful. They treated us like royalty. What I remember most was that he was a very kind man. Both Luigi and Rosa were wonderful to us. We were going to try to visit them if they went to Naples Florida in the winter. We now live near Orlando. He told me he had health issues but if the situation changed, he would contact me so we could set up another visit. I am saddened to hear of his passing. With all our Love, Tom and Eleanor Smith
