Markellos Stylianou Res, 85, Born in Karyes, Chios, Greece; Beloved husband of Kalliopi (nee Chalos); Devoted father of Irene, Steve, Joanna (Nikolaos) Spinos, John and George; Cherished grandfather of Yiorgos, Joseph, Nayia, Markello and Kalliopi; Loving brother of Loula Halous and Eleni (Kosta) Xilas residing in Greece; Dearest Brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was the owner/operator of Markellos Bakery located at 3520 W. Lawrence Ave. Chicago and long time member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation Thursday June 21, 2018 from 4 – 9 p.m. at Salerno’s Galewood Chapels 1857 N. Harlem Ave. Chicago, IL. Family and friends will meet Friday morning at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 6041 W. Diversey Ave. Chicago for 11:00 a.m. Funeral service. Interment will follow to Elmwood Cemetery. I will never forget his kindness, his advice and his generosity for the most needy and the support to the Hispanic churches. May God take him to a privileged place and give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain.
