Dear Chris, I was saddened to hear of your mom's passing. I am praying for you and your family to have strength at this difficult time and to remember the pleasant times you have shared together. A mother's love is very difficult to lose and I know it will by a trying time. Take care, Karen and Larry Alexander

So sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I knew her and her son, Chris, from Church on Sundays. She was always friendly and cheerful, Chris cared deeply for his Mom. She will be missed by many, may she rest in peace! Phyllis Pavese

I will always remember Mrs. Mannella as a very kind, caring and warm person who welcomed me into her home and always made me feel at home. This happened any time I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in and visit Chris and her. To me she was probably one of the most gracious hosts I have ever met who always took a genuine interest in how I and my family were doing and always offering me something to eat or drink. I know that she treated everyone in her life in the same loving way both family and friends alike. For this reason I will always be grateful as well as thankful for knowing her in my life. God bless you Mrs. Mannella there is a special place in heaven set aside for you!

The greatest gift of all is a Mother. There is nothing like her embrace, her tolerance and her unconditional love. Mrs. Mennella was a mother not only of her own children but for the time I've come blessed to know her and speak with her on the phone and in person, she treated me with the most genuine love that only a mother would show. Glory be to God for his grace and allowing me the opportunity to visit with her just a few weeks ago. My friendship with Christopher Mennella stems over 30 years now and I will always hold the fond memories of her kindness, her special gifts and her love for story telling she has shared with me over time. She cared about people, she was generous with her advice and love. I thank her for her inspiration and her ability to endure. To one of the strongest women I've ever met, I bid you rest and know that you were loved unconditionally and by many. To the family: know that I'm forever touched by an angel. In prayer, Patricia Smith.

Fond memories of my firiend and co-worker at Simeon Vocational High School. As we shared the ride from the South Suburbs to school, we also shared wonderful stories of our families and especially our children as they grew up. She made going to work a joy! I will continue to hold her dear in my heart.
