Michael L. Rascia, Sr., age 94 of Addison; Beloved husband of Irene (nee Olexik); Devoted father of Mary (John) Forman, Michael Jr. (Sasha), Linda (Mike) Brown and Louis (Pat) Rascia; Loving son of the late Louis and Florence Rascia; Dear brother of Diane (Rudi) Bartolozzi, the late Lucille Rasmussen, Rose (Irv) Balien, Muriel, Peter (Joan), Ronald (Pat) Rascia; Dear grandfather of Michael, Nicholas, Andrew (Jennifer), Tania, Elisa, Mia and Sam Rascia, Wallace (Annie Gong) and Lydia Forman, Ann (Stephen) Lippens, Hilary (Xin) Yin, Jason and Michelle Brown. Great grandfather of Emily, Oliver, Evan and Julian.
Mike served in the 233rd Battalion of the US Army in WWII. He will be remembered and loved by all as a hardworking and dedicated family man. Mike was an entrepreneur from an early age and founded Michael Candid Wedding Photography in Elmwood Park (1947-2011). He is fondly remembered as an accomplished winemaker, home builder, and spirited political activist.

Visitation will be held Sunday November 25, 3-7PM at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, with a Memorial Mass on Monday November 26, 10 AM at St. John Vianney Church in Northlake.

Mike was a kind man & a good friend. He was instrumental in my career helping me by sharing his customers. I feel like I lost my father. We ate lunch often at Michael candid studios & nothing can replace the laughter we experienced. God speed Michael I will miss him dearly!
