Oh Dam it Mickey sorry your gone! What a guy, First met you and your whole family when I was 15yrs old. You hung around with my brother and krazy friends! Had the funniest time at the lake house with all the Freemans Brothers and wifes kids and mom and dad. Remember when we were working at the Allstate bldg in Northbrook? I was working in the parking lot for Gateway Erectors building columns with the pusher and you and jerry were yealing and screaming from the inside of the building and this guy was f----ging freaking out! Soooo funny pissing in my pants! Love to All Frank J Bratanch ( Frank from the Lake) as they branded me.

The F-word. A lot of people say it, but few truly appreciate it’s meaning. Some people throw the word around with great frequency. Others never really understand it. Mick wasn’t a big swearer, but he loved the F word. It meant more to him than anything. The F-word that I am talking about is Family. Anyone who knew Mick knows what family meant to him. It was everything. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. Everything from helping with large projects down to holding a door for someone, if anyone ever needed help, he was always the first one to be there for you. You didn’t even need to ask. His time was your time. His hands were your hands. He loved his family with all his heart, and they loved him back the same way. However, his selflessness was not limited to just those within his family. His heart was too big. He shared himself with everyone around him. He went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable. Joking and sharing with family and friends alike. To know him was to become family to him. Mick understood what many of us struggle to figure out – that the journey is more enjoyable than the destination. He loved to be around people, no matter the setting or what he was doing. And he truly enjoyed joking around. He was always quick with a joke and even quicker to bust someone’s chops. But he did it in a good-natured manner and kept everything friendly. To those of us that have shared time with him he will never be forgotten - from the things he has done for and with us to the laughs he has shared with us and the hugs he has given us. He has touched a lot of people’s hearts and left his mark on us. His memory will be carried on long after his passing. His Family and friends will never forget him.. Much love dad - Mick,Amy, Tyler, Dylan, Kyle, Joe, Andrea, Anthony, Alyssa, Kelly, Isabela & Lorenzo

I met Mickey in 1976 when we were working for Paschen at the O'Hare Sewer Treatment Project. I was green and he helped me get used to construction. I never forgot that. Then we were on the Deep Tunnel together and lots of other Paschen jobs. A great operator and one of the funniest people I ever met. We stayed in touch all these years which was great. Mickey reminded me of how fun construction used to be. I will miss all our the stories we used to share. Very sorry for your loss Freemans. He was one of a kind. Tim Hogan

Terry and family: Please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of Mickey. I know that he will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he has touched and enlightened. My fond memories of the times we spent at your family cottage on Lake Benedict are those I still cherish to this day, And, the many laughs that we shared with Mickey are far too extensive to mention in this note. It is with respect to those times that I will always remember Mickey. My most sad, sincere and heartfelt sorrow, Mike Giannini
