Nicholas Hoener

Visitation Time: Services are Private
Interment:

On April 21, 2020 God opened his arms and welcomed our son Nicholas into his embrace.
We know God is taking amazing care of Nicholas and we are comforted knowing that Nick is at peace.
Nicholas touched many people in his short life. More people that we could ever imagine.
Our nephew told us “Nicky lived the life! He lived on Maui. He lived in Northern California. He spent time in Southern California. He lived the last few years in Wrigleyville. As a lifelong Cub fan, this was his “heaven on earth!!” He often referred to his favorite drink, Coors Light, as “the nectar of the gods.” Nicholas enjoyed cooking and sharing his dishes with others. He especially loved teaching his nephew the “art of cooking” as they created some fantastic meals.
Nicholas will be missed by so many. He was a loving son, a devoted brother, a wonderful uncle, a cousin to many, a cherished nephew and a caring grandson. Not to mention the many friends he made over the years.
People ask us “How can we help?” We hope that you will honor Nicholas and consider donating to Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue in Itasca. Or please consider a donation to Community Fellowship Church in West Chicago or Renewal Church in West Chicago in his name.
Thank you to everyone. Your prayers and your words of encouragement help more than you will ever know.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 states “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you His peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.”

My deepest sympathy to Nick's family. I met Nick this past October and we really hit it off! He shared his love for cooking, restaurants, music and of course fun with me. He was a good friend and would constantly call to check in and just to see how I was doing and my family/friends. Nick always talked about his nephews and I was able to see many pictures of them loving spending time with their uncle. I will share Nick's memory through cooking the various meals he showed me and blasting the Cranberries and some other songs... My family and I have your family in our prayers and thoughts. Love, Amy

Nick spent many days at our house. He was my sons friend and he was kind. A great young man with a big heart. The memories he left behind will be remembered forever.
