I was heartbroken when I saw this horrible news the other day. It was just earlier this year we played hockey together before quarantine shut everything down. I got to know you after playing a few seasons on your team over the last few years. I'll always remember your competive fire and the passion you brought to every single game you played. It'll take quite awhile for me to accept you being gone as reality. It just wasn't supposed to end like this. Rest in peace Nick, you'll never be forgotten.

I didn't know you for long, just brief meetings, but you were loved by my grand-daughter. That means that you were loved by me. Rest in peace from all the demons.
