Pamela “Pam” Dwyer Cortina was born on February 19, 1951 and passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late Joyce (nee Woodruff) & Dominic Cortina and the late James Dwyer, loving sister of the late, Michael Cortina and sister-in-law, Laura Cortina. She is survived by her adoring sister Vicki (Mickey) Annecca, her loving nieces and nephews Michelle (Drew) O’Connell, Joseph Cortina, Anna (Andrew Cross) Annecca, Christine Cortina, Dominic Annecca, and her precious great nephews Kellan and Cade. Pam was cherished by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Pam will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, love of butterflies and impromptu beach towel movie nights. She was extremely kind, compassionate, intelligent and witty. Pam had a passion for culture and the arts and enjoyed sharing this love with those around her. She was especially honored with the opportunity to work at the Chicago Cultural Center. She also devoted her time to supporting those in need.

Pam handled every obstacle with grace, strength, determination, faith and love. She was an amazingly beautiful woman inside and out. Pam has left an indelible impression in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all who loved and adored her.

Friends and family will gather for a Memorial Mass to celebrate her life at Visitation Parish Catholic Church, 779 S. York St., Elmhurst, IL 60126, On Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. until time of mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pam’s name to the International Bipolar Foundation to further research and support for individuals living with bipolar disorder.
