Mary, I'm so sorry to hear about Pat. He was a real gentleman and will be sorely missed. The council meetings haven't been the same without him. Know that he and you are in my prayers. Leo

Mary, I forward my family’s prayers and deepest condolences to you and the Martorelli family. For me Pat symbolized the word “gentle” and “man” and when I hear gentleman the first thing that pops into my mind is Pat. We will miss him but now he is smiling down to all of us and passing the can and cards to us so we can carry on with split the pot. Pat, thank you for who you are and what you done with your life. Enjoy your time with our Lord and set up a table so we can play a game of poker when I get to be there with you.

God Bless Mary and your family. Pat was one of what I affectionately call "Northlake Old Timers" who have lived in town for a long time, contributing to the community and his parish. He will be missed by all. Thank you Pat.

He was a very kind and thoughtful man. Every time I saw him he would ask me about my step-daughter who has downs syndrome and is in a nursing home.He will be missed by many friends and family. He was very much liked by everyone..

Pat was a good lector at Church and a good member of the Knights of Columbus. He did much for our parish with his smile and good nature. May God hold him in His hands for all eternity.

I was very sad to hear Pat died. He is a man who I know will live forever because he never had a harsh word for anyone, had a special twinkle in his eyes, and was always busy doing something at SJV or with his wife Mary. He was such a good man that no one could adequately describe him...his face says it all....he was good, funny, generous and really tough....he fought hard! Remember all of us, Pat, because we sure will remember you forever!

Pat, this wasn’t supposed to happen yet. I was hoping I’d have a lot more time before I’d be crying over losing you. You seemed to be getting better, and I was glad. You were a great brother. Maybe the world didn’t understand us, but we did. We could finish each other’s thoughts, and then laugh because they made no sense. We had a knack for knowing not just trivia but dumb trivia. I still can’t hear Amazing Grace without seeing Mary sneer at us and warn us that she would separate us if we didn’t quiet down. Whenever I needed you, you were there. What am I gonna do now? I’ll have a lot of memories to look back on, and maybe they’ll help me laugh again. I miss you already. One day maybe we’ll meet in Korea and you can show me around. Until then, just know that I love you, and that Ma liked me best. Love, Shirl (aka Charlotte)
