It is with great sadness that the family shares the passing of Pedro (Pete) F. Delgado, 49, on October 20, 2021. He leaves behind his wife, Arlene & her son Antonio of Hanover Park, IL.

Also surviving are Pete’s parents, Leandro & Phyllis Delgado of Glen Carbon, IL; Arlene’s parents, Arnulfo & Nelia Montenegro of Bartlett, IL; sisters Monica (Len) Schwartz of Edwardsville & Natalie (Mike) Dealy of O’Fallon, IL; and niece and nephew, Avarie & Grayson Schwartz. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins & close friends across the country.

Pete graduated from Lewis and Clark and received his nursing degree. He was an employee of Madison Communications Company in Staunton, IL where his presence will always be missed.
Though his life was shorter than expected, he lived a wonderful life on his terms. Pete was one of a kind, always saw the good in people, and was willing to help others. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was a great friend to many, loved good food, loved to play golf, and in recent years spent lots of quality time with his large family. We will always remember him for his love of family and love of life.

A memorial service will be held at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel located at 450 W Lake Street in Rosedale, IL on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Visitation will be 12 – 4 pm with a blessing of the ashes at 2 pm. Donations can be made in Pete’s name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Pete’s parents will hold a Celebration of Life in Pete’s hometown of Glen Carbon, IL later in November.
