It’s been a year now since my brother passed. I think about him all the time. The good times, the bad, the funny, the wise words of wisdom (never wipe your ass with sandpaper) lol.... Then the word immortal came to mind. Not because I thought he would live forever but, the memories of him would. I’ve told memories of my brother to my son, family, friends, in laws and I believe they passed those stories on. Lol.. yeah immortal! My brother! Those memories of him will live on!

Dear Rigoni Family The first time I remember getting to know Reno was at G&L Bowling alley. He was older than me but didn’t make me feel irrelevant like the older guys back than did. I was pleased to meet up with again when Frank Lucchesi passed & then again at the Christmas parties. RIP Reno

Gianna, Thinking of you, your mom and sisters during this very difficult time. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad in person, his kindness in sharing his love of baseball cards with Luke was so sweet and thoughtful. Luke always enjoyed going through them when you brought them to him! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May your dad Rest In Peace and feel love all around him.

Reno, I will truly miss you. I met you 17 years ago at a July family BBQ at Mikes house. You accepted me as family from day 1. Since then, all the family xmas parties and things in between I feel HONORED to have known you. From the smiles you made when you walked in the door. To the things you did to make people feel at home. (Ha ha those sports cards you gave the kids)Thank you sir. You were (to me) the glue that held everything together on those events. I only wish there were more of those days. Rest In Peace brother, we will all meet again. Dave (from the Castigliones) Gina & Anthony Deepest sympathies to Rose and family

Last time I saw Reno, it was a graduation party. I hadn't seen him in a long while so we hugged, said hello, and I asked, "What have you been up to?" His response (in true Reno form) was, "Why you always gotta be up in my business?' And just like that, the banter took off. We didn't skip a beat, and it was like all the years we hadn't seen one another didn't exist. Reno always welcomed me with open arms - not really minding if I was "up in his business." With Reno, family and friends were so much a part of "his business." On any occasion, it took less than 10 seconds to know that. Big hugs to him! And all my love and sympathies to the family.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Reno was deeply loved and will truly be missed. We all feel your pain. The Lord took Reno way too early. I would have loved to have spent another 10 more years with Reno. Having Reno as a cousin was like winning the lottery. He was the best cousin anybody could ask for. Bad timing because this man would have drawn a crowd. I will miss hearing “hello darling”. Reno I will come visit you on my lunch hour when I go visit my mom and dad. Hugs. Gina.

Reno liked to tell a story about the time I gave him a chocolate bar, that he later found out was a chocolate Exlax bar. LOL He didn't find it funny at first, but eventually laughed about it. And I was just talking to someone the other day about the time he came home from Vietnam with Wounds and pictures and how much that scared me as a young boy, not knowing if I would be sent to war myself. IF you needed something he was the one to ask, cause he knew so many people. He was always the joker and enjoyed making people laugh, and I think that is what I will remember most. He was my oldest cousin and he kind of set the bar for the rest of us. Thanks for everything Rene.

We were friends since I was 14 years old and we had such fun on the corner of Chicago and Lawndale. When we stood up for Nick and Ginger's wedding he was dancing with 10 girls at one time because we would circle around him because he was such a great dancer. Once we grew up and moved to the suburbs I use to enjoy his coffee visits to the fire house in Roselle where I worked and he would have my fire chief laughing with all the stories he would tell about our teen years. I still have the picture he gave me of the movie theater on Chicago Ave. on my wall to this day because that neighborhood gave me nothing but great memories. I will also miss seeing him at the grocery store and the Dollar Tree. He now joins my two best friends Chi Chi and Joann Rizzo, but it was sadly too soon for that. I wish I could hug you right now Roe and will look forward to the day we can honor his memory.

I am so sorry for your loss. Reno is my Dad Joe’s best friend. I’ve known Reno my entire life. He was always so kind to me and my family. He especially was an extraordinary friend to my Dad. He never ever treated my dad different even though he couldn’t hear. He was always there for him and no matter what had my Dads back always...... there are not many adults in my parents life that treat them as equals and Reno was one of them. I will always love Reno for that. God bless you all with grace through this difficult time. I will be thinking and praying for all of you. We will miss you Reno!!!

What do you say about a man like Reno whose personality was bigger than life? His wit and humor could lift you up no matter what was happening. Reno’s heart also was huge. He loved and adored Roe and his girls. He would always be there for his family and friends. When I would call the house, he would answer and we would banter back and forth. Then he would call Roe and say Donna D... is on the phone. Reno will always be with us in our hearts and minds. Love Donna and Michael (Stevie)

I am honored to have been able to call this man my Uncle and my Godfather. I believe if there was a man my mother and father wanted me to emulate growing up, it was my Uncle and Godfather Reno. When I lived in Chicago three years ago, I had the chance to see the family and I realized that there were things about me that matched up perfectly to this incredible man. I could see evidence of my personality come from him and I am so blessed to have had him as my Uncle and Godfather. I am thankful to have had a man to look up to and have parts of me recognizable the reflect who he was as a man, husband, uncle, father, godfather, and friend. I love you Uncle Reno. I will miss you...dearly.
