Condolences to Bob’s wife Judy and entire surviving family. May you find peace in God's Love. Bob is a great individual. His presence and contributions to AT&T IT Teams will be missed immensely. He freely shared his technical knowledge as well as his experiences away from work. Relentless and selfless volunteer who put in plenty time at Chicago’s Shed Aquarium, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, had a passion for Scuba diving, Caribbean travels, etc., and more importantly continually demonstrating his love for his wife Judy. Always the gentleman happy to declare where him and Judy are headed off to after work, or went the night before, etc. Work meetings with Bob covered very technical details all with visual aids but generally would end with some reference to a planned event/function with (you guessed it) Judy. So, there was no question the love and appreciation Bob had for his wife Judy, as well as his passion for volunteer events in communities that he dedicated his life to. Thoughts and prayers to Judy and family from all of us at AT&T who worked with Bob for many years and got to know the inordinate individual he is. A great colleague. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

To the family and friends of Robert Marth, Jr.: Sending a word of comfort and reflection from a former colleague and co-worker. Bob Marth was a good co-worker and friend. He shared his knowledge and expertise on Data Networking and Data Communications so freely when I joined AT&T. Always the teacher. He would patiently draw countless designs and illustrations to confer a topic and scenario which gave me better understanding of the work. It really helped me to become a better engineer. Then there were the numerous times he would share his stories and love for travel and diving orally and through photos. Because I was a regular at a few annual Shedd Aquarium's events , Bob was so animated and shared his passion of service and volunteering often. It was also good to hear of his extra curricula CSO and other interests. It made him more than an IT nerd. It made him a human 'being', being active, caring, compassionate, working, teaching and serving. He made a positive impact on my life. Thank you, Bob!

I have been 'with' Bob, directly or indirectly, for my entire stay with AT&T...some 23 years. In that time, I have come to know Bob as a gentle, kind, knowledgeable and practical leader/mentor/colleague and a gracious human being. My condolences to Judy Marth and Bob's entire family. He will truly be missed,

I will always remember how helpful Rob was when I was starting to build my website. And later on when I was having an "issue" with a certain customer service problem, he offered unsolicited assistance. He was a kind man, and he worked hard all his life. He will be missed. RIP

Judy I remember our flight to Hawaii [there is no plane...] with Rob in the middle seat and all of us partying on the floating restaurant drinking 'backscratchers'. We all learned how to use chopsticks. I remember the Star Trek Food Party when Rob made Saurian Brandy. We had some very good, memorable times. You and Rob were able to travel and learned to scuba dive. I'm glad we share these memories. See you Friday.

So sad to hear this. I worked off and on with Bob over the last 25 years. He will be missed on so many levels. An AT&T co-worker.
