Visitation Time: All Services will be private.
Place of Funeral: St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church
Funeral Notes: All Services will be private
Interment:

Roger Moukheiber, of Naperville, Illinois was born on March 6, 1974 and went to sleep in the Lord on May 12, 2020 and God welcomed him into his Kingdom of Heaven where all sickness, sorrow and pain have fled away.
Roger loved and protected his family fiercely, and he loved his friends as family. He leaves behind and was an incredible husband to his wife and soulmate Alissa (nee Zabel), son to Raja and Carol Moukheiber, brother to Patrick and Michael, brother-in-law to Margaret (nee Garbe) and Diane (nee Anderson), the best and silliest Uncle to Matthew, Alyssa, Kyle, Makayla and Makenna. He also leaves behind so many friends and family we could not keep count.
Roger was a big personality, a wonderful person and like always, fought the good fight. He was so joyful, giving and always optimistic. He was positive even while battling through the health problems he endured. He had an infectious smile, hearty laugh and loved making others happy. He treated everyone equally with dignity and respect whether you were an old friend, a new acquaintance, a doctor, or a janitor. He welcomed everyone with open arms.
All that knew him loved him for standing up and saying what others did not have the courage to say. He was a protector of anyone he loved and when you saw him in person, he would always give you the biggest hug. You could always count on him to be there in times of need and times of joy. He would always try to call and check in on you and see how you were doing. However, he did like a good debate, even if he agreed with you.
As an avid sports fan, he loved watching the Arizona Cardinals football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. In his youth he loved to play sports and later coached the Hinsdale Falcons youth football team. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to all types of music and was particularly fond of Rush, Jimmy Buffet and anything Rock.
Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, the Church cannot be open for anyone to attend the service or for the family to receive condolences in person. Therefore, the FUNERAL SERVICE of +Roger will be streamed LIVE this Thursday, May 14th, beginning at 11:00 a.m., on the Church YouTube Channel (or via www.StGeorgeChi.org/live).
Once circumstances allow, a Celebration of Life will be announced and those who would like to offer condolences to the family in person may do so at that time.
Like Roger said at his wedding.
“Love indeed does do amazing things. Now let’s go and celebrate. The Tiki Bar is Open”

Roger's presence in my life was a true gift. His personality filled an emptiness that was caused by the death of my brother, Bill, at age 31. Their jokes and laughter were infectious. No matter what health issues faced them they faced them head on and with dignity . May their memory be eternal. Carol, Raja, Alissa, Patrick, Michael, Margaret, Diane and families, I love you and please know I am there for you!
