Angela Rosa Turi age 85, Beloved wife of Anthony; Dear mother of Grace (Bryan) Shaw, Anna (Vincent) Francone and Stella Turi; Loving daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna Fiore; Dear sister of the late Stella (the late Franco) Savino and the late Vincent (Tina); Loving nonna of Angela, Isabella and Julietta Shaw, Emanuel and Anna Francone and Loving Zia of many. Visitation Monday 9:00-10:30 a.m.at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. 60172 (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.) to St. Isidore Church for mass at 10:45 a.m. entombment All Saints Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Rosa was born in Triggiano, Bari in 1932. She immigrated to the United States as a teenager. An avid lover of opera, she often hummed arias as she worked. Rosa arried her beloved Tony at Holy Rosary Church in 1957 and became a wonderful mom to three daughters. Rosa was a talented cook and baker, but her most cherished role was that of NONNA. All of her five grandchildren will forever remain her “Cookies”.

Changing the name on my previous post to Rosa and realize the world will greatly miss a wonderful Italian cook . . . there is truly nothing better than food from Nonna.
