On 4:58 pm Sunday, August 25th, 2019, Rose Marie, peacefully slipped away into the glory of eternal life. After two weekends with her family gathered around her deathbed, saying their goodbyes, crying their tears, eating good food, sharing stories, laughing, singing and giving her the liberty to go home to heaven.

On Sunday, after all the family members had left, Mari Anne and Tommy sat on either side of her bed, singing the classic hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” and she quietly ceased her labor, as Jesus and His angels came to take her home to the bosom of The Father.

To a beautiful and classy woman of God, How blessed I am to have known you. First, as a sister in the Lord, then a very patient counselor, mentor, co-counselor and wonderful friend. Your wisdom and counsel has guided me and my family in so many ways. I treasured our phone calls of politics and talking about Israel. I will miss our jokes and laughter together. I will hold those treasures in my heart until we see each other again. Also, thank you for the many years of praying for the students of Rose of Sharon.

Rose Marie, through the ripples of her ministry, completely changed my life. These ripples will continue in my family and relationships, by the grace of God, for generations to come. I am grateful that I was able to thank her in person, for her sacrifices and dedication. I am very sad but also smiling, knowing she is waiting with Jesus, for our homecoming. My heartfelt prayers go to her loved ones and anyone that feels a void.

Rosie I've loved you for so long, I cannot imagine not having you here♥ I miss you terribly my dearest and longest friend♥ I am so thankful that Joey introduced me to you way back in 1973 at Our Lady of Pompeii Prayer Group. You literally saved my life that evening as I gave my life to Jesus. What a journey it's been learning about the Father and His love through YOU & the ministry Papa gave you for hurting & wounded people. You loved me to life. You loved me no matter what. You loved me in the good, bad and ugly times. You always inspired me to run into the arms of Jesus and trust Him in every situation. I learned early in my walk with Jesus to memorize the Bible and felt so honored when you would call and ask, "You know that Scripture that talked about the bush burning, where is that?" I loved having Bible study in your home. Your deep love for Jesus was so evident in everything you did, from decorating your home, to setting your dining room table, to telling everyone you met about Jesus, to praying over meals and continuing our Christmas traditions at The Pines and blessing me & the kids with a meal, gifts and sweet fellowship. I so wanted to read the Bible to you on the 13th, just to hold you and see you smile again, but you were not doing well. I miss your voice♥ I miss smelling your favorite perfume♥ I miss your smile♥ I miss your laugh♥ Jesus missed you more and now you're home where you belong. I'll love you forever my Beautiful friend♥♥♥♥♥♥

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints" (Ps 116:15). ". . . I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me will live, even though He dies" (John 11:25). To Rose Marie's family, you have my deepest sympathy and yet I celebrate with you a beautiful saint's passage from this world into Christ's eternal Kingdom. I first met Rose Marie in 1992, during a difficult season of my life. Her tender, even motherly, care and Christian love ministered to me then, and from that time forward, Rose Marie left an indelible impression on my life and she has held a special place in my heart. Over the decades, I have thought back on the time I knew her with great fondness and gratitude to God for bringing her, even for a brief time, into my life. I will never forget her, and I look forward to greeting her in glory. Rest well, Rose Marie and receive the crown which the Lord, the righteous Judge, has waiting for you. With love and gratitude, Michael Valentino

Words cannot express how much Rosie meant to me. Her laugh and her smile are forever etched in my heart and mind. The love she shared and the things she taught will be cherished and remembered for the rest of my life! I’ll think of her every time I drive past a Jewel and I’ll miss our favorite ice cream spot! ✝️❤️
