Salvador Vaca, ("Mr. V" as I liked to call him), will be missed dearly. While you could tell he was a serious man, I thoroughly enjoyed the times I made him kick back, relax and just laugh. I'll cherish the few times I had opportunities to sit with him and his kids and tell stories, tales and lies. The ongoing story we shared for well over a decade was the one about a fish I caught while with him and his son Tony in a suburban retention pond. I never photographed the evidence (my Dad cleaned it before I had the chance), leaving Mr. V and I only the ability to jab each other about the actual size, his version getting smaller and mine getting larger as the years went by. I'll regret not seeing him sooner than I did before his illness progressed, more proof of the fact time is ever so precious. May God bless him, Mrs.V, (his wife Rose), his children Sal, Tony and Debbie and all the Grandchildren, as well as his Brothers and Sisters and Cousins, during this troubled time.

Sal, you were the first person I met when moving into Schaumburg. You were the real estate agent representing the people who owned our house. Over the years you, Rose, Roy and I became friends. I'm going to miss our talks about the grass, the weather, our dogs, our health and everything else that we found to talk about. At the same time I'm thankful that you are no longer in pain and going through all the trips to the hospitals and rehab. You are in a much better place
