Steve, We met at Volta and shared a few classes together. You were always a smart and fun person to talk with even up to your passing. I will miss our chats and humor together. Rest in peace old friend until we meet again. Prayers for you and your Family in this time of need.

I'm so devastated to hear of Steve's passing.I knew Steve from growing up in the neighborhood and he also delivered bread to our family restaurant. Steve and I had lost touch throughout the years but we reunited on facebook the last couple of years. He would instant message me when he saw something on facebook and always looked out for me..When I heard he was sick Steve would call me and we would spend hours on the phone joking and laughing. He had a great heart and adored and loved his son so much. He kept saying Dina I'm not going to have this bastatd Cancer get me..I'm fighting for my son..Steve I will never forget our talks..You will truly be missed. I'm so heartbroken over this..May you reat in peace..No more suffering my friend.

Steve was my younger cousin, we grew up as brothers laughing, joking, vacationing, working and sometimes arguing which was the best part of our friendship, if we didn't argue everyday it wouldn't be normal, Steve was a very special individual and did things his own way all the time, he was the life of the party, he loved his Father Mother Brothers Sisters Wife Son Markellos and Friends VERY VERY VERY MUCH they were his world, he covered up things pretty well made it look like everything was always okay even during hard times that's what had me and others fooled, this is a lesson that nobody should have to go through, so from now on I Urge all that read this to Hug and Kiss your Children, Family Members and Friends and give them the time of the day and hear them out because in a blink of an eye they can be gone like our Brother Steve, Til today I still attempt to make a call to him or meet up with him as if he's still here, I am still so confused and won't ever accept this, we were supposed to live Our Lives out as old men having fun arguing and bickering with each other but he tricked us, He & the HEAVENS have different plans, God has called On Him brought him to his castle in heaven with his Father Markellos, To my dearest friend and little brother I am missing you every minute of the day everyday, I can't stand not joking and arguing with you everyday, no one can step in your shoes and be who you were for me, you are one of a kind and forever there will be a sword through my heart for this loss, I feel a painful emptiness in my soul, missing you so much Steve, Forever Love you.

So absolutely devastated, sad, and shocked to hear such painful news of Steve's passing. I met Steve when he arrived to America in 1972 with his parents and sister Irene; he was six months old. Our families lived in an apartment building on Sawyer Avenue in Chicago for the next (10) ten years. Our father's were first cousins. The families spent every single day together in one way or another. We all created life long lasting memories together of happy times and sad times. Steve was a little chubby cute boy who's diapers I changed often. Everything we did was larger than life. Our mom's just could not cook one small meal, it had to be a pot for an army just in case anyone was hungry later on. After our parents finally became homeowners, we parted from our apartment life but still remained very close. Steve had a great sense of humor and I will always cherish and love him. He was so much to so many and saying that he will be missed is an understatement. All my love to the Res family.
