Victor P. Amato, beloved husband for 48 years of Betty Ann Amato; devoted father of Gina (Jeff) Hamann and Natalie (Steve) Amato-Zech; adored papa of Jacqueline Hamann, Grace Hamann and Chesney Zech; loving son of the late Anthony and Betty Amato and son in law of the late Bernard and Ida Matrisciano; dear brother of Grace Bratu, Nancy Amato, Michael (Avis) Amato and the late Tony (Lorraine) Amato and dear uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Victor passed away at home surrounded by family after living with cancer for almost three years. Victor was an amazing storyteller, had a great sense of humor, and as a result he was often the life of the party. He loved fishing, drinking some “cold ones”, traveling with family, and watching sports most notably football. He is perhaps the most loyal fan the Minnesota Vikings have to date!

He was a wonderful husband and father. He showed love through his words, actions, and that proud smile you would often see show on his face. He loved his grandchildren and took an active role in raising them creating many wonderful memories for them to cherish.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
