Preceded in death by his loving parents the late Bartolo and Elizabeth (nee Cozzi) Messina; beloved husband of Jane (nee Kaercher) Messina; loving father of Jeffrey (Janice nee Pecoraro) Messina; Elizabeth (Rich Vahl, Jeff Hengels); cherished grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 8; dear brother of the late Concetta (the late Joseph) Dellutri, and the late Rachel (the late Peter) Drenth; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Vito was a Korean War Veteran and a retired Chicago Police Officer after 35 years of service. Visitation Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, Sciaraffa Funeral Directors, 450 W. Lake Street (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road) Roselle, 60172.
