William Nudd

Interment: Burial Private

William Joseph Nudd unexpectedly passed away, at the age of 61 on March 20, 2020. Bill passed peacefully in his sleep from a heart attack.

Bill was born on February 18th, 1959 to Catherine and William Nudd. Bill was the oldest of 9 children, 6 boys (Robert (dec.), Joseph M. (dec.), Michael, Joseph, John) and 3 girls (Mary, Joanne, Jennifer). Growing up in Roselle, Illinois the Nudd clan was an active part of their community and the family is still remembered to this day where a “N” that the patriarch of the family built still sits proudly at the end of the driveway of their childhood home.

Bill, or BFN as he preferred to be known by, will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor that always made everyone laugh (even when it was inappropriate), his incredible love and passion for music, his love of his music cruises, his “too many rules” attitude, and his love and pride for his children, grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his two daughters Emily Thompson and her husband Troy, Tracy Robertson and her husband John, his ex-wives Jamie Petzold and Cindy Nudd, and his four grandchildren, Trey Thomson, Lukas Thompson, Hazel Robertson and Teagan Thompson. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Nudd, Joseph Nudd, John Nudd and his sisters Mary Hamill, Joanne Ruffner and Jennifer Zdan, as well as mother Catherine Nudd Schulze. And not to mention the countless nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

You never knew when or if Bill would come to a party or gathering but when he did, he was always the light of the party making everyone laugh. He will be remembered for his generosity and his tough guy exterior but soft heart. He will be missed more than he will ever have the pleasure of knowing. As BFN would so eloquently phrase it, it’s time for him shove off.

Prayers Emily, Tracy and family. May you have strength to get through this heartbreaking time of your life. My wish is for you to be able to smile and laugh in the near future when you remember your dad, instead of tears. <3
