I loved you Adam. You were certainly a friend to me. We would always talk and laugh when we saw each other. Those memories will never be forgotten. When my wife Jodi passed, you comforted me in conversation and a couple drinks we had together. It meant so much to me. Well your in a better place in Heaven now and I look forward to the day when we meet again. Love, Tommy Sparacino

Our hearts are filled with sorrow as our beloved “cowboy rides away.” (Wow, it’s going to be tough to sing that song at the end of the night without Adam’s voice joining in). Adam’s friendship and warm hospitality will forever live in our hearts, and his smile will forever shine brighter on the Fox than the light of the Municipal Building. Although we desire Adam to rest in peace, we’re betting that when he enters the Gates of Heaven, St. Peter will be offering him a job helping to greet future new souls! We shall greatly miss our dear friend and playing music on the Fox for him. With deepest condolences to the molto bene Salerno family and heartfelt sympathy, Lois and Paul Dowers

My childhood was brightly colored by time spent with the Salerno family and of course at the restaurant. Best pizza on the planet. My step dad, Ralph Bilotto and my Mom, Dorothy always loved seeing Adam as we were greeted coming through the door. There was always laughter when he was there. My condolences to Isabella, Adam Jr., and Joe — and to the extended family as well.

Adam was a great visionary and a genius restauranteur. Most importantly to me Adam was a dear friend. I will miss his warm and welcoming greeting as one entered his restaurant. His smile and laughter were contagious. I so enjoyed our long dialogues together over cocktails, calamari and caprese salad well into his restaurant's closing time. He had a strong personal view and opinion on a myriad of topics and I relished these times together with him. Adam you will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved you. My sympathies to Joe and the rest of his family. RIP my good friend, I will really miss you!

We are very sorry to hear the passing of Adam. We will miss his friendly greeting and smile upon entering the restaurant. If we missed him at the beginning, he always found us at the table and came over to say hello and shook our hands. He will be truly missed because he was the rock of his restaurant. Salerno's is, has, and always be our favorite number one restaurant to go to because of Adam, the food, and all his present and past employees. Rest in peace my friend and may God bless you and your entire family!

Myself and my family are deeply saddened by Adam’s passing. Our prayers and wishes of comfort are with the entire Salerno family. Adam and I were introduced to each other in Algebra class at Morton West in 1966. We have been close friends. I’m the luckiest man to have been included in this special man’s life. I’ll miss him, as will all my family. He was special to me, like he was special to everybody. We had laughs together and concerns together for a very long time. To Adam….I know you can here me and I want to reiterate : I don’t understand people that order a small pizza. Rest In Peace, buddy.
