Alicia is survived by her loving husband, Vito; her mother Amy; her children Chessa (Robert) and Milan (Erin); her granddaughters, Rowyn and Haven and many cousins and friends. Alicia was a selfless, proud and loving wife, mother, and friend to all. She was a formidable, hard working and successful commercial flooring saleswoman. She poured her love into her amazing baking and cooking. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate a birthday or holiday, big or small, with treats, cards, elaborate gift wrapping and decorations. She loved any outings that involved food, drinks, live music or comedy and laughter. A visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Church in Carol Stream on April 25 at 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral mass at 12 p.m. Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Alicia’s Life at The Empress Banquets in Addison from 3-7p. It would be wonderful to see her loved ones wearing her favorite color: Blue.

Alicia was always the coolest, from when I was in high school and hanging out with Chessa -- going through our corduroy, converse and emo phase, to all those years later when she and I partied together at the Derby or for Chessa's bachelorette party. There wasn't a single situation she was a fish out of water, and not a room she couldn't charm with her innate sunniness and verve for life. It's hard to see such a bright and beautiful human leave this earth so soon, but honestly, losing someone like her will always feel far too soon, the skies a little darker without her. Thanks Mrs. Calabrese -- I mean, Alicia, for always showing the world how to operate by example, for loving fiercely, baking amazingly, and being a great force in anything you did.

Alicia was a Beautiful and genuine person inside and out. I am grateful to have known her. I will always remember our boys, Jake and Milan spending lots of time together at each other's homes in grammar school and knowing my son loved spending time at the Calabrese home because Alicia was so loving and always welcomed Jake whether it was an outing, a sleepover or a meal. Jake and I will always hold warm and fond memories of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Calabrese family.

So very sorry to hear of Alicia’s passing. She was a wonderful lady, I remember her fondly. She was a great cake decorator when she worked at Jewel, she once told me when she saw it was for my family that she would do our cake. God bless.

Even though I've known her for only a relatively short time, she was definitely one of my favorite people in my world. Both her life and her death have changed me forever. Rest in peace, Alicia.

Even though Bob and Vito aren't in it, I've always loved this photo with Alicia. We all had a wonderful time together at the Jewel Safe Driver Awards luncheon at Arlington for many years. Like everyone else, I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face and cracking people up and having fun and spreading sunshine everywhere she went. We will sorely miss her and are praying for Vito and the family as they grieve this great loss.

It was my honor to have known and worked with Alicia on some of the American Airline Projects while she represented Mr. Carpet. She was a true professional, and a total costumer pleaser. Thank you for all you did.
