Carmelo B. Guy
Carmelo (Bing) Guy died suddenly January 14, 2021 due to Covid -19 complications, at St. Alexius Hospital. He was born July 18, 1940, in San Juan, Abra. The son of Bonifacio and Carmen Guy.
Carmelo was the youngest children of his three siblings. His education was from the National University of the Philippines with a degree in Civil Engineering. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Aurea Barbero and settled at San Juan, Abra and had 3 children. He was a little bit of a rolling stone and had another child whom he also loved. He was a hardworking man and would do anything to provide for his family. He wanted a better life for their family and when they saw a chance to immigrate to the United States, they did. He and his wife sacrificed a decade of separation from their children and gave up their hopes and dreams so that someday their children can have the opportunity to make their own hopes and dreams come true.
Carmelo loved the outdoors, and loved fishing and planting. He loved to travel and he’s been around the world. He loves to cook and makes the best adobo and fried chicken.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Isidro Guy, with a surviving sister Aida Guy. Surviving in addition to his wife Aurea B. Guy, his son Carlo Guy and his wife Jackie of Skokie, IL; daughter Carmen Agno and her husband Noel of Streamwood, IL; Bennie Guy and his wife Maria of Hoffman Estates, IL; and Jomel and his wife Angely of the Philippines. He has nine grandchildren, Colin, Camila, Nathan, Cameron, Noah, Xander, Cole, Caleb, and Cramer.
