I was so fortunate to have met Gerald about 12 years ago when I worked in Hoffman Estates. He was always such a joy to talk to. His kindness and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.

Every time your father visited the recreation center he had a smile on his face and was always so positive. I always enjoyed seeing your father and talking to him. Such a good man!

We met Hoppe many years ago and we liked him right way, he told us he prefers to be called Hoppe and not Gerry, I remember when they used to come to vote, Marilyn always looked like a model and Hoppe was himself what you see is what you get, generously all around good person, glad we had a chance to see the, couple years ago, our deepest condolences to all, our love and prayers to your Nana.

Hoppe was one of the kindest men I will ever know. I hope I can remember his good heart and live through his example. He was a special person. He and Marilyn were a great example to all who knew them on what a loving marriage should be
