With heavy hearts, the Plomero family announces the passing of our beloved Jaime Plomero. A man larger than life, who never thought he was better than his fellow person, invited us all into his life and his home, and was open to everyone. He made everyone laugh and had a way of making you feel welcomed, family or stranger. His enthusiastic laugh, sharp wit, sense of humor, warm and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
We will deeply miss his storytelling talent and hearing about his past adventures. He always had a way of transporting us all to those moments.
Jaime was born in Chicago, IL. He was raised by his father Juan and mother Cira. He grew up with his sister Dulce and his brother Moses. Jaime attended Northern IL University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. After college, Jaime went on to become an Illinois State Trooper, specializing in SWAT Team and Dignitary Protections (including Executive Protection Unit (EPU) to the Governor of IL) After a very successful career, Jaime retired and dedicated his life to his daughter and travel.
Jaime enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. His Superbowl parties, and Halloween/Birthday parties became the place to be for many. He loved his family and friends, and he was always ready and willing to help us all.
Jaime’s daughter, Gabriela Plomero, who he affectionally referred to as “Peanut,” became the love of his life, and he will forever watch over her.
Jaime is survived by his daughter Gabriela Plomero, siblings Dulce Juarez and Moses Plomero, and father Juan Sanchez.
