My mom and I will so miss Uncle Janik, but know that he is always with us in spirit. From almost anything about the Cubs, to baking kolaches before Christmas, Uncle Janik brought a friendly and funny personality with him in everything he did. What a great man; he is loved and he will be missed.

Ken and I are blessed to have John as our son-in-law, and friend. He was the best at everything he did. We will miss our Sunday phone call with our discussion of many topics, such as family, sports and most of all your health. We are going to miss you more than words can describe. Knowing you are breathing easy without the tubes and machine gives us some relief. Also want to thank you one more time for your service to our country. Till we meet again, rest in the peace of the Lord, John!

What a wonderful man, son, husband, father, grandpa, uncle, Godfather, brother and brother in law we have lost. I have decades of wonderful memories of Janik and will never forget his wonderful laugh, his baseball stories and what a kind, caring and gentle man he was. There is once again a void in our family that cannot be filled. So I'll write an Irish blessing for my Polish brother in law: Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
