Lenora Heavrin (nee Bax), 79, was called home to the Lord to be reunited with her late husband Lester. The most loving, caring, and devoted mother and grandmother, Lenora is survived by her children Laura (Chris) Talko, Claudine Heavrin, Scott (Jennifer) Heavrin and Jeff (Nicole) Heavrin; and grandchildren Ryan Heavrin, Erica Heavrin, Abby Heavrin, Max Heavrin and Emelia Talko. In addition to her husband Les, Lenora is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Lena Bax, and siblings Louis Bax, Albert Bax and Margaret Bax. Sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt to many.

A devout Italian-Catholic, Lenora’s faith helped guide her throughout life; a wonderful trait she passed along to her children. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer, which is what helped her as she courageously held strong these past five years. Lenora continued to smile until the very end, and will be remembered as a loving woman who always cared more about others than herself. Family was always at the core of her being, and the most important aspect of her life. Lenora was so proud of her four children and their many accomplishments. And once a grandma, she beamed with pride over her five grandchildren who always kept her smiling and laughing. She would stop at nothing for them. Making homemade pasta, baking cakes and cookies, and playing Uno with grandma were family favorites and are cherished memories that will be forever missed.

Lenora loved her girlfriends, and she had many. Whether it was her very close childhood friends or her Natchez “club” girls who she played cards with monthly, each and every one of them held a special place in her heart.

Nor will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her for her loving heart and infectious smile that always warmed a room. And of course, everyone will miss her homemade pasta, raviolis and meatballs, but most of all her unconditional love!
